Time of Day Discounts: No discount is available from 8am to 9pm, M-F. A 40% discount applies from 9pm to 11pm, M-F; 8am to 11pm on Sundays and on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. A 65% discount applies 11pm to 8am, everyday plus 8am to 11pm on Saturday and 8am to 5pm on Sunday.

Wire Maintenance: Verizon maintains the wire up to the connecting block as part of basic service. Wire beyond that point is the responsibility of the customer. You have the option to repair it on your own, hire someone to do it, hire Verizon at an additional charge or repairs can be covered by one of Verizon's maintenance Plans.
Outlets/Jacks/Rewiring: You have the option to rewire or install the jacks yourself, hire a contractor or allow Verizon to do the work at an additional cost. For inside repair work, the cost to hire Verizon for time and labor is $110.00 for the first hour and $46.00 for each additional half hour. For jack installation and wiring, the Verizon fee is $110 for the first hour and $46 for each additional half hour plus the cost of materials. Cost of materials is: Wire (UA7HF) = $4.00 ($2.00/ea.), Entrance Board (742SA) = $6.50 per access line, Baseboard Jack (JJK1C) = $2.00, Wall Jack (JJK1W) = $13.00.
Lifeline Service: You may be eligible for a monthly discount on your telephone service. If you or anyone else in your household receives benefits for one of the following: Aid to Families with Dependent Children, Food Stamps, Home Energy Assistance Programs, Title 19/Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8), State Appropriated Fuel Assistance Program, Child Care Certificate, Transitional Child Care, Personal Care Assistance Program, Rental Assistance Program, ConPACE, State Supplement to the Aged, Blind, or Disable, Refugee Program, State Administration General Assistance, Supplemental Security Income, or the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program.
