Wire Maintenance: Verizon maintains the wire up to the connecting block as part of basic service. Wire beyond that point is the responsibility of the customer. You have the option to repair it on your own, hire someone to do it, hire Verizon at an additional charge or repairs can be covered by one of Verizon's maintenance Plans.
Outlets/Jacks/Rewiring: You have the option to rewire or install the jacks yourself, hire a contractor or allow Verizon to do the work at an additional cost. For inside repair work, the cost to hire Verizon for time and material fees is $110.00 for the first half hour and $46.00 for each additional half hour. For jack installation and wiring, the Verizon fee is $95 for the first jack and $53 for each additional jack. Exclusions to this fee will be quoted by the technician if encountered at the job site. The Fixed Fee assumes normal jack installation free of unusual circumstances warranting additional work.
