| Wire Maintenance: |
Verizon maintains the wire up to the connecting block as part of basic service. Wire beyond that point is the responsibility of the customer. You have the option to repair it on your own, hire someone to do it, hire Verizon at an additional charge or repairs can be covered by one of Verizon's maintenance Plans. |
| Outlets/Jacks/Rewiring: |
You have the option to rewire or install the jacks yourself, hire a contractor or allow Verizon to do the work at an additional cost. For inside repair work, the cost to hire Verizon for time and material fees is $91.00 for the first half hour and $46.00 for each additional half hour. If you subscribe to IMP then the rates are $81.00 for first half hour and $40.00 for each additional half hour of labor. For jack installation and wiring, the Verizon fee is $110 for the first hour and $46 for each additional half hour plus the cost of materials. Exclusions to this fee will be quoted by the technician if encountered at the job site. |

You may be eligible for a monthly discount on your telephone service. If you or anyone else in your household receives benefits for one of the following: Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Fuel Assistance, Mass Health, Supplemental Security Income, Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children, or the tribally administered programs. |
