Verizon Unlimited Local Service

It's the dial tone connection you need to use Verizon telephone service. Save on all of your local toll and long distance calls by choosing Verizon's Sensible Minute PlanSM and Five Cent Long Distance PlanSM with your local package.

Verizon offers basic local service separate from packages in the range of $16.85* for measured local service and $21.48* for flat rate local service. You are not required to purchase packages. Services offered in the packages can be purchased outside of the package rates.

Wire Maintenance: Verizon maintains the wire up to the connecting block as part of basic service. Wire beyond that point is the responsibility of the customer. You have the option to repair it on your own, hire someone to do it, hire Verizon at an additional charge or repairs can be covered by one of Verizon's maintenance Plans.
Outlets/Jacks/Rewiring: You have the option to rewire or install the jacks yourself, hire a contractor or allow Verizon to do the work at an additional cost. For inside repair work, the cost to hire Verizon for time and material fees is $85.00 for the first hour and $21.00 for each additional 15 minute increment or partial increment. For jack installation or rewiring, the Verizon fee is $85.00 for the first hour and $21.00 for each additional 15 minute increment. Exclusions to this fee will be quoted by the technician if encountered at the job site. These rates apply to both installation of new jacks and rewiring of existing jacks inside.
Lifeline: In California there is a Lifeline plan that provides assistance on basic service. You can qualify if you belong to certain programs or meet certain income requirements.
Toll Cap Limit: Due to the result of your credit application, a Toll Cap Limit may be added to your account for calls made to outside of California. If you exceed the toll cap limit for these toll calls, your line will be blocked. Once payment is received, the block will be removed. Your line will NOT be blocked unless you exceed the toll cap limit and do not make on time payments. You will be notified in writing of any changes to your account. After you have demonstrated a good payment history with Verizon, the toll block limitations can be removed.
